Global Media Tools ("we," "us") provides browser-based utilities for working with publicly accessible Facebook media and for speech transcription. This page explains what data is involved when you use the site.

What we process

When you use a downloader tool, the URL you submit is sent to our systems (or, once configured, to a backend processing service) only to fulfil that specific request. We do not require account creation for the free tools and do not build advertising profiles from submitted links.

Transcription

Live transcription runs using your browser's own speech-recognition engine; for that feature, audio does not pass through our servers. If file-based transcription is enabled via a connected third-party speech-to-text provider, that provider's own privacy terms also apply, and we link to them wherever that integration is active.

Cookies and local storage

We use local browser storage only for interface preferences (such as dark/light mode and language selection) — not for tracking across sites.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting analytics (such as Google Analytics or Bing Webmaster Tools) to understand aggregate traffic. No tracking ID is active until explicitly configured by the site operator.

Data retention

Submitted URLs and any temporary processing results are not retained longer than necessary to complete your request.
